Absolute Respiratory is licensed with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care Assistive Device Program (ADP), Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA), and Native Affairs for CPAP, Home Oxygen and Respiratory Devices funding in Ontario.
CPAP Funding in Ontario
When prescribed by an ADP authorized Sleep Lab, CPAP machines are partially funded 75% by the ADP. The ADP has specific replacement guidelines/requirements (Absolute Respiratory can provide you with this information). If you are receiving ACSD, OWP, or ODSP benefits, ADP will cover the CPAP machines completely.
ADP does not cover replacement parts, supplies, masks, or extended warranties.
If you are receiving benefits through DVA, NIHB, OWP or ODSP, you will be eligible for supplies/replacements through these programs and Absolute Respiratory will direct bill these services for your convenience.
Home Oxygen Therapy Funding in Ontario
Home Oxygen is fully or partially funded for most people in Ontario, as long as the physiological requirements specified by the Assistive Devices Program for Home Oxygen Therapy are met:
- Anyone over the age of 65 will be 100% covered.
- Anyone under the age of 65 receiving benefits or services from OWP, ODSP, CCAC, or are living in a long-term care home, will be 100% covered.
- Anyone under the age of 65 and not receiving any of the above services is 75% covered.
Anyone receiving benefits through DVA Group A and Native Affairs are eligible for full funding.
Private Health Insurance
Private health insurance often covers unfunded costs. Depending on the carrier, we may be able to direct bill your insurance. If we cannot direct bill, we will provide you with everything you need to submit to your insurance company.
